Dedication

My Mom was caring toward the elderly. During her senior years, prior to the onslaught of Alzheimer’s, she would sit for an elderly gentleman in Chicago and eventually began helping others in the facility.

Many of you are helping with the elderly in your family. With that, some call you the sandwich generation. They acknowledge that you are being sandwiched between life and the onslaught of an aging parent with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.

Some call you baby boomers. You represent the largest group of individuals born to America – between the years of 1946 and 1964. I call you Caretakers; individuals who understand they have a role to play in God’s universe of caring for family and senior loved ones – in particular our parents.
